Quiz Ranking Criteria

Participants are ranked based on their performance in the quizzes, focusing on the accuracy of their answers and the time taken to complete the quiz. The ranking is determined by the following criteria:

Highest Percentage Score Participants are primarily ranked by their quiz score, expressed as a percentage. The maximum achievable score is 100%. Those with higher scores will rank above those with lower scores. Lowest Time Taken: In cases where multiple participants achieve the same percentage score, the time taken to complete the quiz will serve as a tiebreaker. Participants who finish the quiz in the least amount of time will be ranked higher.

Example Scenarios

• Scenario 1: Participant A scores 90% in 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Participant B scores 90% in 1 minute and 50 seconds.
  Result: Participant B ranks higher due to a shorter completion time.
• 
  Scenario 2: Participant C scores 100% in 4 minutes. Participant D scores 80% in 2 minutes.
  Result: Participant C ranks higher due to a superior percentage score.

Important Notes

• You need to be logged in: You can create a new account if you don't have one.
• Accuracy Matters: Only correct answers contribute to the percentage score. Participants are encouraged to prioritize accuracy over speed.
• Significant Scores: Scores that are at least 70% of the highest score will also be considered for ranking. This ensures that participants who achieve scores close to the best performer are included in the final rankings, although only one participant will win the prize.
• Timed Challenge: While speed is a factor, participants should take enough time to understand and answer each question accurately to maximize their percentage scores.
  Ranking Transparency: Participants can view their rank in the quiz as it progresses.

Winning Prize

The winner receives 25,000 Naira (twenty-five thousand Naira).

Cut-off Time

The cut-off time to determine the winner is 8 PM WAT on Tuesday. Only scores recorded before the cut-off time will be considered for the winning prize. Quiz rankings are reset every week, so a rank does not roll over to the following week.

Commencement Date

The Naira Nerd Quizzes begin on April 22, 2025, and will continue until further notice.
