Kanye West is once again making headlines, this time for publicly calling on former U.S. President Donald Trump to intervene in the legal troubles of hip-hop mogul Sean Combs popularly known as Diddy. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kanye made a bold statement, tagging Trump in a post that read:
"@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff."
This plea comes as Diddy faces serious legal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering, alongside over 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct. The music icon remains in federal custody in New York, awaiting trial on these allegations.

Diddy, a towering figure in the music industry, was arrested by Homeland Security in September last year under suspicion of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. Following his arrest, he pleaded not guilty on September 17, yet his bail requests have been denied twice.
The charges against him stem from a federal investigation that has uncovered allegations of a long-running criminal operation. While Diddy has maintained his innocence, the case has continued to unfold, drawing significant public and media attention.
Adding to his troubles, recent reports suggest that Diddy was rushed to a Brooklyn hospital due to a knee injury. However, after receiving medical treatment, he was quickly returned to his jail cell.
Kanye West, known for his outspoken nature and past political alliances, has long supported Donald Trump. His decision to publicly request a presidential pardon for Diddy highlights his ongoing influence in entertainment and politics.
While Trump has not yet responded, this call for action raises questions about whether the former president would intervene in Diddy’s case, especially given the severity of the allegations.
With Diddy's trial set to begin later this year, all eyes are on how this legal battle unfolds—and whether Kanye's plea will make any impact.
