PVC collection staggers in Lagos and Abuja. Latest figures for permanent voters card collection released by the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has shown that over 2 million permanent voters cards remain uncollected as at the close of work on Friday, 30th December 2022 in Lagos and Abuja. TheĀ  number of these uncollected voter's cards has rung a siren through out the country, and speculation about the statistics in other states has come to the fore. With the 2023 general elections just over a month away from now, it is absolutely staggering, as well as shocking that this information is making rounds at this time. The independent electoral commission is yet to comment on the process or plans to tackle this inherent problem, or to provide a solution that suites all parties, but one thing remains unsaturated, Nigerians need to take this bull by the scruff of the neck if they wish to make immediate changes to the ruling and governance of this great nation. It is of no surprise or coincidence that the nation at large is going through a transitional period and it is safe to say that political matters are at an all time high delicate state. Nigerians have been equivocally vocal about their lack of satisfaction with the ruling party in all regions and have accepted the only way to progress is to vote in mass for a common goal. But with these damning statistics from the INEC, it remains to be seen how this will be achieved.
