Popular music artist, Robyn Fenty, popularly known as Rihanna has been declared a national hero in Barbados. She has been an ambassador for Barbados since 2018. Barbados, which had been ruled by the British monarch, recently removed the Queen as its monarch. Rihanna was awarded the national hero honour as Barbados celebrated becoming a republic decades after gaining independence from Great Britain.
Rihanna was born in Barbados but she relocated to the United States while she was little. She is one of the most popular female artists in the world. Earlier this year, she was proclaimed the richest female artist in the world by Forbes.
