The movie October 1st is a film by Kunle Afolayan. October 1st was produced in 2014. It is a movie that shows the cinematographic expertise of the Nigerian filmmakers.

It was set in the era of Nigerian independence. The movie is about two inspectors saddled with the task of solving the mystery killing of women in the Town of Akote in Ibadan before independence day.

The movie won awards for "Best Featured Film", "Best Screenplay" and "Best Actor" at the 2014 International Film Festival and has a GDI of about 60 million naira.

The movie is about a man who won a 30 day holiday trip for two to Atlanta in USA and decided to take his cousin with him on a hilarious vacation. The cross-border comedy movie is grossed at over 163 million naira in box office sales. It won numerous awards and was named best movie of the year by the organizers of the annual Industry Awards.

This 2016 hit tells the story of the 1976 military coup. Produced by Adonis productions and Princewill's trust, and directed by Ize Ojukwu, this Nigerian movie tells the story of a young officer after the civil war, who gets into a relationship with and O-level student. Being in the army, their relationship gets tangled up in numerous problems following the unsuccessful military coup. Chief Daddy is currently among Nigeria's top grossing movies. This Nigerian movie tells the story of a Nigerian billionaire industrialist who died and left a will that would divide his properties amongst his extended family provided they work together. The movie was directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and is grossed at over 387 million naira. This movie comfortably takes up the third position of Nigeria's top grossing movies.

This Wedding Party set a record for Nigerian movies in the year 2016. Produced by four studios, this Nigerian movie took up the number one position on the list of highest grossing Nigerian films with over 460 million naira.
